GOOD TO SEE THAT THEY FINALLY GOT THE RIGHT COLORS ON HIS UNIFORM
YOU KNOW WHAT THEY WAY RED AND BLACK AND YOU NEVER GO BACK |
| zaluty: As most people think Kingston is an old team I went to their lineup as posted on the OHL site. At one time a balanced team was thought to have a lineup consisting of a ratio of 7 last year,7 second year and 7 first year. Well The Fronts come pretty close to this model. Seven 90's -Moon,Clouthier,Farrell,Lashoff,Kruzik,Odam and Besko. Six 91's-Kennedy,Lebar,Werek,Fine,Doherty and Cullen. Five 92's-Sarault,Froats,Durocher,Mort and Gudbranson and three 93's-Quine,Broek and Seymour. I didn't include the OA's. So in reality age wise they are a pretty balanced team short term and long term. |

From everything I have read the kid has some issues that got him sent home from th Soo. Lots of speculation but nothing obvious. That being said many of the
Soo fans feel he is a very talented player who is on the cuspe of a break out year. Possibely the 5and 0 start left Soo feeling he was expendible. Considering
the price, several conditional high round draft choices it looks like a steal for the Fronts.
The question now is how does this effect the roster. |

Gudbranson scored from a very unselfish pass from Moon
Sarault scored a gorgeous goal Mort had an assist and sent a bullet to the cross bar Besko was fantastic in net. Werek was great both ways all night Marsden used his size Quine showed nice hands and patience behind the Ottawa net All Front forwards crashed the net after every shot The D kept the front of the net clear No lazy penalties Team looks like they are in shape and WANT to be there. They were instructing and cheering for each other on the ice all night Nice work so far Gilmour! Congrats boys! |

| Truth: Before you close it, its clear fossil30 is biased one way and it appears that tylerking truly understands the game and is an educated and knowledgeable participant and has provided better picture of reality. OS knows what it needs to improve. Understands you have to give up value to get value. Not brought up for some reason ? but OS also gave up a conditional draft pick to complete the deal. Kingston player involved sought by many teams not because viewed as checker ? or third line performer but for same reason drafted so high in first place, viewed as a top line player on any team. |

Mignardi wanted out, accomplished. We needed a big tender, accomplished, we need a big winger, now we have some trade bait, either Cullen or Parks.
Gilmour won't make everyone happy but to me this is good news and a step closer to being a contender. |

| zaluty: Ok maybe I am getting old and senile but I don't think this team is half as bad as people make it out to be. Lets see where the dominoes of the goaltending situation plays out. There has to be another move in the making. I think the defence is going to be a strong point with a nucleus of Gudbranson.Doherty,Lashoff,Kruzik and Mort and I have been told to watch out for the Murphy kid they drafted. Up front I think they will be a hard working team and they do have offensive potential. Last year they were soft so the additions of Geldart and Harden will help that. Do I think they are Memorial Cup worthy. No not in a long run but if the players they drafted this year turn out to be a good crop the long term also looks good. That is all please pass the kool aid lol |
