Bluenote There is a difference between a yelling coach that just yells at players and a coach that just stands behind the bench and says nothing. Many coaches when upset will yell to a player to get off the ice and then tell them what they did wrong or bench them. many coaches will in a raised voice tell the player to smarten up.

Was one of the knocks against gill that he was too quiet behind the bench i know it was for Gilmour. Check out the NBA for instance. Also there is a big difference between the NHL and the CHL. Julien was a yeller in the Q.

A good coach does what is necessary to get his point across.

Too be honest if a kid phoned me as an agent and said i do not want to play here because the coach yells at me i would first look at whether the kid is actually going to be a better player because of what he is getting yelled at about. An example is a player that is afraid of the corners, if a coach was yelling at my kid and telling him that he had to get into the corner and not be a baby i would [probably tell the kid that if he does what the coach wants he will be better and so tuck it up.
