I believe that Matt Watson is currently a victim of circumstance. It's a numbers game and unfortunately he appears to be #8 in the D corps. I also dont think his size helps him either as McFarland and Gilmour have obviously tried to bulk up the blueline with the addition of Graves. O'Grady is young but has good size for his age and Tessier is 5'11 but he is a strong 5'11. So I believe that aside from the current top four who are currently solidified to dress every game, Graves, Tessier and O'Grady have put themselves in a higher position leaving Watson out of the mix for now. But like I said before, Tessier got a shot at a regular shift on Monday in Mississauga with O'Grady sitting the whole game and did well with Graves. This leads me to believe that if a player is struggling than McFarland will give another guy a chance to take his spot. If things go poorly, Watson may get his chance to show McFarland he should dress.

With regards to the bolded above, it would be nice if Gilmour started to apply that same philosophy to the forward group.  What we learned from last year's playoffs is having a bunch of tiny but skilled forwards works in the regular season, but does not in the playoffs.  As is, the Frontenacs still lack size up front.  Not just height, but there's a lot of tiny, slender players on the roster as well.

Crouse and McGlynn are pretty much the only guys with size who actually play physically.  Kujawinski's been a disappointment so far.  He's 6'2 and over 200 lbs, but he could be 5'2 and 100 lbs. and it wouldn't make a difference to how he's currently playing.  And Lammikko is tall, but he's lanky.  And he's not particularly physical.  After those four, there's a lack of size throughout the forward corps.
